All infant formula should be made up safely as per the instructions.

Bottles should be made up on demand each time babies are showing early hunger cues. Please wash your hands before you begin and use freshly boiled water each time. The kettle boils the water to over 70degrees which kills any bacteria in the milk. Bottles are then left to cool before given to baby. Please do not shake the bottles to mix the milk, use a sterile knife to simply stir in the formula to avoid any excess air being added to the milk from shaking.

Bottles should be sterilised until baby is 1 to minimise bacteria and any risk to baby. After 2 hours any unused milk in bottles should be thrown away and not reused or given to baby. Perfect prep machines cannot be sterilised in this same way and not all of the water is over 70 degrees so it is possible some bacteria may still be passed to baby if you choose to use one of these machines.
